Help with an Excel Import feature for PHP

Hi there. Another Dev made me an import feature using use phpoffice\phpspreadsheet\reader\xlsx; It's just one function that imports a spreadsheet template into about 7 little tables. He usually does good work and I'm sure it works, but I'm trying to install the script and I'm getting a blank page when I pull it up. I did a check on the mysqli $conn and that is working correctly.
I don't have experience with this php office library that he's using, so I just need someone to take a look at the code and help me get this working.
Plus, it looks like he made it so it imports from a local excel file (when you simply load the [login to view URL] page) instead of adding an upload button, so I could simply attach a file to import.
So once you get it working, I'd like to have you add an upload button that runs the script.
