Project Overview:
I am the owner of a gold jewelry manufacturing business, and we currently rely on Google Sheets for our daily accounting and operations management. The objective of this project is to develop a custom web application that will help us efficiently manage our business processes. Our business consists of three key departments: Ghaat, Kundan Jadtar, and Bandhai. Each of these departments has unique accounting needs, which we have meticulously designed in Google Sheets with specific formulas. Additionally, we need the ability to upload receipts for physical transactions with our karigars (workers).
Key Functionalities Required:
1. Department-Specific Accounting:
- Replicate and enhance our existing Google Sheets for each department (Ghaat, Kundan Jadtar, Bandhai) within the web application.
- Maintain the integrity of formulas and calculations for accurate accounting.
- Enable users to upload receipts for each entry, facilitating transparent record-keeping.
2. Karigar (Worker) Account Management:
- Create a module to manage accounts of our karigars.
- Track payments, expenses, and balances for each worker.
- Allow for the uploading of receipts associated with karigar transactions.
3. Vepari (Party) Account Management:
- Implement a dedicated section to manage accounts of Vepari parties.
- Utilize separate formats for labor-based and wastage-based accounting methods.
- Ensure precise calculations and seamless data entry.
4. Jewelry Stock Management:
- Develop a module to maintain detailed inventory records, including information on each jewelry set and its component weights.
- Enable the creation of sales records and approvals for Vepari parties.
5. Transaction Record Keeping:
- Create a system to generate and store transaction records for each Vepari party.
- Allow users to view and manage these records efficiently.
6. Product Selling Options:
- Implement the ability to sell individual components (e.g., Ghaat, Kundan Jadtar) or complete jewelry sets.
- Utilize separate Google Sheets formats and formulas for each selling method.
7. Data Privacy and Security:
- Ensure the highest level of data security to protect sensitive business information.
- Implement access controls to safeguard data privacy.
