PHP contact form fix, made user friendly

I have a working ‘contact us’ form that I’ve made, however, there are a few problems I would like to iron out to make it more user friendly:
• Anytime I hit submit, it refreshes the page – this causes it to jump to the top of the website, and you have to scroll down to see if it has been sent or what error messages appear, I would like the user to see the error message immediately, not scroll back down.
• If you put in a bad email address, press submit, it comes up with an error after page refresh, but you lose all the data you input into the fields – I’d like it to store the data so the user can correct the email rather than type the name, email, phone and message in again
• If you input incorrect details and press submit, it comes up with the error message, but for some reason it removes the footer off the website (anything after the php script in html is removed)
I would prefer to share files rather than give ftp access.
