Hi, I wrote several scrapper programs with C# language and selenium. My method is web automation, in this method, behavior of human user is simulated. It means that it can read data, enter text, click somewhere and etc. most of my programs in last two years were about extracting prices of goods from online shops. I called it "Price Monitoring". Also, I am a FOREX programmer and familiar with stock literature and logic. So, I think that your project is a match for my experiments. One point to add, I have more than 20 years of software development experiment, but I'm a new comer in this site, therefor I want to do my best in first projects to improve my profile.
