WP Theme problem after changing Template, missing Categories

We have delivered many Woocommerce sites. What we understand / guess is that Author and Publisher must have been custom fields added in old theme. These fields are not there in new theme and adding them will resolve the issue. We will have to check out the old and new themes and work out a solution accordingly. I will need CPanel, FTP and Wordpress admin access.
