I’d first inventory the Fortinet log sources and available fields, then map normalized entities such as users, hosts, IPs, sessions, actions and security events. Detection and correlation logic can then be tied directly to dashboard widgets and analyst triage steps, so every high-priority visualization has a clear investigation path behind it. The KPI layer should measure the same workflow, including detection time, response time, false positives and analyst workload.
