What we want is a program that references data in an excel spreadsheet. We want to be able to scan a upc 128 bar code with a scanner and have it find it on the spreadsheet as well as mark them somehow as checked in. The bar code is 4 digits. We will already have the excel spreadsheet we just need the program. Attached is the ticket

So, you have barcode scanner capable to scan barcode on ticket and return four digit code. All you need is piece of software which will search that code in Excel spreadsheet. If code is found, it will put "checked in" mark for that code (inside some cell in the same row). It also can check if that code is already "checked in" and give message if it is. Program will have configuration file where you'll define: 1. Path to Excel spreadsheet 2. Column which holds codes 3. Column for "checked in" mark If you are interested, and all I wrote is correct and good, please contact me.

Dear client, I can write a VBA macro for that. The barcode scanned by the scanner will be searched in excel sheet and the relevant ticket will be marked checked in. Lokkin Forward
