e require a Jnr to Mid Range developer, ideally situated in Cape Town, South Africa (but elsewhere will be OK if you are good enough) Our customer (and therefore employer) is an American company and has developed a post production video sharing and workflow tool that allows for previewing of the edit rooms footage anywhere in the world via web or iOS. App allows for colour correction, annotation and sharing. System is hosted on multiple OpenStack cloud platforms across the US. Shows that are currently using the software are: Modern Family, The Simpsons, NCIS Los Angeles and now Viacom, the Hollywood giant studio has signed up with a few shows if it's own, like Comedy Central and more to come. Our team is here in South Africa to support and develop the applications and platforms for the studios. We require a developer to bug fix code and perform enhancements to the system. This means working odd hours and always having a deadline. You might also be required to provide customer support, but only if absolutely necessary. Permanent or Contractual Position. We ideally need a competent Node.js backend developer but will settle for a quick learner who has ace Javascript (Backbone or Angular too) or Ruby skills. You will need a substantial portfolio to show us. We will grow your skills towards Node.js on OpenStack platform over time. Work with a small team of crazies who are always under pressure to deliver to a demanding client. Additional sought skils are: Backbone.js, Angular.js, CSS
