Need a SQL server DB expert to optimize a stored procedure performace

Job Description:
We have a stored procedure which is parsing a XML file and inserting and updating a table with more than 25 column which is already having more than 4 lakh record, Procedure is doing its job but it is taking approx. 900ms to just insert or update few records which is too much as large no of records need to be updated, we need an expert who can optimize this procedure to complete the task.
