There are a lot of fire prevention grants available right now. The most prestigious and best fit for your needs is a FEMA fire prevention and safety grant, though they have not yet released an RFP for this year's grant cycle. FM Global reviews grants on a rolling basis 3 times a year and this appears to be a good fit for your funding needs, as there is monetary limit on funding. The only red flag on this fit in particular is that after having reviewed the awardees for 2013 it seems they have only awarded grants to fire departments and to fund technology. Your organization is unique though, and I think funders will be interested in this method of prevention. I have experience grant writing for Ulster County Board of Educational Cooperative services and have actually researched for fire prevention in schools. I have a year of grant writing experience under a very impressive coordinator. I have received funding for a Kick-Butts Campaign and have worked on teams to write proposals for larger federally funded projects. If you would like more detail on my experience or want to chat more about preliminary options and research feel free to shoot me an email . Putting a deadline on grant writing is sometimes inefficient because the grant world is all about waiting for the perfect fit, you can write proposals until the cows come home, it is better to be patient and wait for the correct cycle to garner repeat funding that can be available annually, or to have one larger funder.
