Candidate skill requirements:
We are looking for someone who can create 3D character models for a computer game. Specifically, we need someone who can model, unwrap (UV), texture, rig and animate the game character models. The ideal candidate will have:
1] Extensive experience as a 3D character artist;
2] Extensive knowledge of character art pipeline and workflow in computer games;
3] Experience working with Unreal Engine 4;
4] Knowledge and experience of 3D Studio Max or Maya and FBX export pipeline including animation exports;
6] An extensive portfolio showing character artwork as well as character animations.
7] Ability to analyse required information and adjust the number of animation sets, poses or blend spaces as necessary;
8] Ability to analyse requirements and mitigate future problems / unnecessary work-load in advance or to provide advice on the matter
9] Ability to create a milestone schedule for this project based on a deadline;
The following skills are highly preferred:
1] Knowledge of finite state machines and behaviour trees;
2] Knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 animation system;
3] Knowledge of blend spaces (animation blends)
We need 5 characters for a computer game. For each character, there should be a male version with two texture variations and a female version with two texture variations.
The characters should be modelled, Unwrapped (UVs), textured, rigged, and have animation sequences with blend spaces [collectively known as assets]. These assets will need to be checked by the freelancer to be working in Unreal Engine 4.6+ which is free to download and use.
There are certain accessories associated with the characters which also need to be created. They are relevant and required for certain animations and should be created in conjunction with the characters.
The number of animation sequences will depend on the character behaviours which can easily cause the total animation numbers to reach approximately 300+. As an example, a basic fight behaviour between two pedestrians will require multiple animation sequences of punch, dodge, get hit and fall down at the very least. Further, these animation sequences have individual multiple poses animations and blend spaces in them, which when combined make up one complete animation sequence. This is mentioned here beforehand so that there is no room for arguments later regarding any 'increased workload'. Consider that there will be many animations and the number of individual animations will increase or decrease as the case may be. This number can be managed to be reasonable, but please bear in mind that any charges for extra animations later will not be accepted under any circumstances.
For style, detail, visualisation, triangle/texture limits, refer to GTA IV or GTA V. The work quality should match these games. Screenshots are easily available on the internet. Characters should be believable and animations should be realistic. Your portfolio and work samples should reflect this.
Further documentation will be provided once the project starts.
Depending on your performance in this project, there will be much more work later.
The selected candidate/s will have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and a Contract before starting any work.
Budget limit is $900, including all fees, charges, taxes etc., and is for the entire project, not individual stages or assets. Bids with quotations higher than $900 will not be considered.

1] Read the complete description of this project;
2] Ask questions about it if you do not understand anything;
3] Use professional english while communicating;
4] Include your approach to this project in your bid (how will you tackle this project?);
5] Include a project plan or schedule to show your timeline for completing this project. Please post your time to complete sensibly. Plan out your approach / schedule and then post the time to complete the entire project, even if it is a bit long.
