vCenter VM missing and VMs marked invalid

Job Description:

Hi, I have 3 ESXi hosts and one of them had vCenter VM setup. Yesterday I noticed that vCenter VM had moved to ESX02 from ESX01 host. I decided to upgrade RAM on ESX01. After 12 hours of that, I came back and powered all VMs down except vCenter. Put ESX03 to maintenance mode. And soon after vCenter web client became unresponsive. Went to ESX01 and ESX02 ESXi host web clients and tried to put them to maintenance mode one after another. Tried to also shutdown vCenter which initially it did not but then it went to shutdown state. ESX01 and ESX02 still did not come to maintenance mode and kept complaining that VMs are not powered off. Not sure which VM they were referring to. Anyway, after some wait, I then shutdown ESX01, ESX02 and ESX03 from their ESXi web clients. Upgraded memory which went just fine.

However when I turned the ESX01, ESX02 and ESX03 machines ON, there is now no vCenter VM at all in any of the ESXi hosts. And all VMs are marked invalid. Off course because VMs are on vSAN datastore which won't come up and is inaccessible till vCenter VM is up and running. There must be simple solution to this as vCenter VM was running before shutdown.

If you can help recover this situation then let me know.
