Me and my partner Justin are circus performers and content creators. Justin has 300k followers on TikTok on YouTube, 70k on Instagram.
We would like to create a Wikipedia page documenting a viral trend / song we created on TikTok. The original video got 7M view, 300k people use the song on TikTok along, and one of the complication videos got 40M views in 3 months on YouTube.
On 2018, Justin created the song and sang the audio, I helped film the video on TikTok, the video got taken down within and hour due to violation of terms and and condition, so we tried to re-upload again, it went through and became viral.
We owned the copy right to the song, it’s registered and published on multiple platforms (Apple Music, Spotify, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram...), but yet many people tried to re-upload our audio as their original sound, using the song without crediting us, which makes it harder for us to get the proper credits and monetization abilities.
So we’re hoping having a Wikipedia page documenting the story of the trend would be helpful, thank you.
