What's happening is that your front page content is hard-coded straight into the theme's template file — the text and image paths sit in the PHP, so the editor has nothing to show you. The fix is to move each of those pieces into editable fields: either ACF fields attached to the homepage, or theme customizer settings, with the template rewritten to output those values and fall back to the current content so the page never goes blank mid-change.
