Streamline and Automate a Membership Database and Certification Process for the International Surfing Association

The ISA is a non-profit organization recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the International Federation for the sport of Surfing, StandUp Paddle (SUP) Surfing and Racing, and all other wave riding activities. The ISA has been crowning World Champions since 1964. Along with its World Championship Series, the ISA works to develop global surfing by providing educational programs in the areas of Judging & Officiating, Coaching & Instructing, Surf School Accreditation, Adaptive Surfing, and also provides an ISA Individual Scholarship Program for Junior (under-18) surfers. ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies of 98 countries on five continents. Its headquarters are located in La Jolla, California. Two of the ISA's important programs, the Coaching and Instructing Program and Judging and Officiating Program , provide accreditations to Surf Coaches and Surf Judges all across the globe. Coaches/Judges take an ISA Course and in turn receive an ISA Certification which is sent to them via email. They then have an annual membership that is renewed each year. Currently this is an archaic and very tedious process that involves a great deal of manual data entry and creating of individual certifications in Photoshop. The Master Coaching Database is an excel file that is constantly updated along with multiple other spreadsheets and an online directory. Our aim is to streamline and automate this process through our website and we need your help. These certifications are sorted by the Level of the Coach or Judge and the only fields that change are the name and expiration date. The certificates are currently made in Photoshop but could be converted into an HTML or other suitable file format. The goal of this project is to automate and streamline our certificate issuing process so that we can spend more time developing the sport of Surfing around the globe.
