I am a native English speaker and a recent college graduate. While in school, I worked full-time for the university as a writing consultant aiding enrolled students and faculty. My editing and written work demonstrates both an attention to minute grammar as well as a command of the overarching structure of a work. When working with writers in an intimate editorial or ghostwriting capacity, I prefer to schedule sessions of critical conversations with the writer about their work. My practice in editing and consulting focuses on a collaborative, conversational approach to writing, bringing both the writer's and the reader's (my) knowledge into play. This helps the writer, too, to develop an awareness of their work and their process that lasts long after our time together is over. Where smaller details of a completed work are concerned, I am an excellent proofreader. I currently work as the DJ and music director of a local nightclub. My schedule is extremely flexible (I choose my own hours aside from Friday/Saturday nights), which allows me a great deal of time for projects. CV available upon request.
