An investigation to predict elastic composite modulus is presented to evaluate the stress transfer mechanism using the new shear lag analysis when the fiber aspect ratio is small in elastic loading. The stress concentration factor between fiber and matrix is expressed as a function of modulus ratio to calculate the elastic composite modulus. A FEA(Finite Element Analysis) model with axisymmetry is implemented to verify the results of composite properties.
