There are times where the password of a PDF document is tied to your personal information. For instance, if you have investments being managed by an investment company and they give you a quarterly document as a PDF document. These documents are usually confidential so they protect it with a password that is tied to your name, birth date, phone number, account number, and whatsoever. Remembering a password that hasn't been personally set by you is difficult to remember. Moreover, it gets difficult to remember if the password format changes or the document comes from different groups having their own format of assigning password. Things get inconvenient and this is what this application is for. This application is not meant to break an encrypted PDF document. The application simply remembers the passwords you use to open PDF documents. The next time you open the document again, it won't ask you for a password again.

These are products that we frequently buy because we need them on a daily basis such as food, house hold cleaning materials, health care, and the like. There are many grocery stores (including online) that offers these products and they come in different size and prices. However, we did not build this application to intentionally re-invent the wheel but rather because the lack of application where you get stuck in an unfortunate scenario. We made this light-weight, portable, and dirty file transfer prototype. To make it portable, we developed a Windows and Java version.

However, one of the biggest problems I had with these expense managers (especially the free ones) is that they are so fully loaded with features (and unrelated features) that we don’t even bother to use and understand (not unless you are the accountant type of guy). It is great nowadays that we can carry this kind of apps on the go (because mobile phones) since we can record our spending habits right there right now. However, having a fully loaded accounting features and technicalities makes it difficult to use for an average user. So what is an average user? I for one is an average user, all we know is that we have cash, we spend some of it, we save some of it, and at the end of day we would just like to know how much and where you spend it.
