Whilst employed with Queensland Health my positions as Systems Administrator and Technical Specialist involved many tasks similar to those required for this position, such as: Manage and support Windows Server 2000 to 2012 physical and virtual machines. Support the VMWare ESX 3.5/4.1/5.0/5.1 environments, while also playing a key role in developing a vSphere 5 design and subsequent testing and development of that design. Use in-house developed best practices and procedures as well as ITIL to ensure that change control standards were adhered to and that the IT components of projects were completed on time and within budgetary constraints. Support negotiations with external and internal businesses to acquire new knowledge for the team and ensure that all technologies considered were appropriate for existing environments as well as the long term corporate vision. Work and liaise with people at all levels ranging from technical engineers to directors and third parties. This wide range of input facilitated project objectives being clearly defined, implemented and accompanied by the necessary support at hand-over to operational support teams. Assist with design and be part of the implementation of projects which included MS Exchange 2010/2012, Citrix XenApp PS 4.5/5/6, SCCM, SCOM, Sharepoint and vFoglight. Provide support to end users and application managers for the Citrix Metaframe XP and XenApp PS 4.5 environments.
