  We don't think the design works with a dark background because of the red and yellows.
  
  For example, entry #12 and #23 are our other two top choices. Both single color (red) and white space (empty space?). This would allow it to easily be chanced from red for lighter labels, to white for use on darker labels.
  
  If the above details give you any ideas, we would be glad to see what else you can come up with too. :)
