Sumarul concursului

This contest is to design a logo for a new Website Design business, called Squadron.

I would like the logo to fit well in the header of a website, so (when scaled down) it should fit 225px x 50px. Please note that this is just a rough guide, if something works better with a different ratio it will most definitely be considered. Please state the format your final submission will be in, SVG's are a definite plus, ideally with an illustrator file to accompany it. PSD's are a no please.

Please use a font readily available from fonts.google.com, I'd like to be able to easily use the same font as the logo elsewhere in the website. This is a must, please state the font family you have used when submitting your design.

I am picturing an icon (which can be reused, separate from the logo itself, elsewhere within the site), with the word SQUADRON/Squadron to the right of it. Please see the attached ELECTRON logo for the kind of approach I mean. Ideas for an icon include: A propellor; a plane or part of a plane.

If it can somehow fit in with the colours I am considering for a website header (please see attached Spitfire images) that would be a plus, although this is not essential. My favourite colour is blue, again, not a game changer, but definitely not red/yellow please. Nothing too vibrant, I'm hoping for something that is slick, simple, and bold.
