I need you to write some content for a website. I need content to fill the pages of www.thediabetesinitiative.com. (If you accept the job I will provide you with business plan and mission statement for you to draw from.) I am part of a team that is launching a business called The Diabetes Initiative. I have attached the business plan and our url is www.thediabetesinitiative.com. Currently, the website is more or less a place holder, the entire thing needs to be filled in with fantastic content!
The inspiration for this project is due to a major need in the marketplace for a massive group of consumers that only continues to increase in size. The market: Diabetics/ Type I and II and Pre-Diabetics. Despite the enormous population of people with the same needs, there is no one-stop-shop/ resource for products designed to assist or better the lives of this community. Once our research commenced, we found a breakthrough sugar substitute for diabetics that actually tastes like sugar and can be used in exactly the same way as sugar. We have a team of researchers, dietitians and nutritionists developing as series of edible product that use this ingredient, to be manufactured and included on the e- commerce side of the website. We have been busy brokering deals with the makers of many types of diabetes-appropriate goods and services which will be included in the store as well. The non-store side of the site will be a library for all things diabetic, including education, articles, resources, ask an expert, etc. etc. etc. We are working on recruiting major restaurant chains to produce Diabetic- appropriate menu options, (like the ones that already exist for those who wish to eat gluten-free.) Eventually our app will imitate the website and offer a "fine a place to eat" feature to access such menus and availability in real time.
The worldwide epidemic of chronic disease due to obesity and overuse of sugar. This is an opportunity to affect change and fight the epidemic, while at the same time fighting a longtime "taboo" with regard to Diabetes.
