I need two listboxes which allows a user to drag from one box to another, using a drag drop operation.
I am considering using Flash/ CS4 Actionscript, and Ajax, .NET 3.5, C#.
In this task I am looking just for a demo program and some notes about the structure of the code. I have attached an image showing an example of dragging dropping some shapes.
System:
- all data stored in SQL SERVER
- listboxes will be updated with initial loads from SQL SERVER
- after a drag drop the database will be updated
- the application will run online (not windows forms).
- box listboxes can have image lists, or all text in both of one text and one image based. The lists will not be mixed, ie part image and part text.
- code must work quickly and be easy to understand
- demo only needed, so any data structures can be used
- must handle concurrency. ie code that writes into xml files will not work for concurrency unless files are unique.
The final applications will be used to classify product lists, so the drag/drop operation is important.
I am open to what code methods are used, but I do not like in general scripts. I think Flash will work well but the database handling could be difficult, and I know Ajax will be OK but some of the code can be messy.
