I am looking for a unique, stand out piece of art to be my flagship design for a new line of pants (trousers). This is a startup, so there are some initial constraints: it needs to be a continuous pattern so that it can be cut and joined any direction, relatively simple to begin with (so preferably without many tiny lines due to the nature of the fabric and bleed) and it would be best in two or three colours only to begin with - ideally . These constraints are somewhat negotiable for a fantastic design as the art comes first. The ethical philosophy behind the line is a win/win for all involved - the environment (sustainable fabric), customer, manufacturer, artists and me. I am at the starting point with this, so I am yet to settle on a firm plan for paying the artists; it will likely end up being commission based however I am willing to pay an additional fee up front for a great flagship design.
