Small Graphics Design: Movie Poster Style

I want to create a 59 (length), 11 (width) header for a poster. I want to blend a few images together (images of peoples faces).
One of the images (a person's eyes) should appear behind some text (another image). This should take up around half of the length. The other half should be a dark color with 4 images (peoples faces) blended into the darkness. I also wanted to find a way to work in labels indicating the names of the individuals in the photo - in a subtle way.
I want to make it look dynamic and attractive. The whole project has an artsy newspaper theme/vibe. Not looking for miracles just nice looking and quick.
