Children's Book Illustrations

This will be an illustration-project for a picture book for children in the 6-9 age-group. The story's main character Jenny is an eight-year old living in a suburb in the USA who becomes lonely when her best friend moves out of the neighborhood. A few days later, a new family moves into the house next door with a girl just about Jenny's age; however, the members of the new family seem wierd; they wear flowing robes, the women cover their heads, the men have thick beards and they speak an alien tongue. Jenny's mind is full of wild theories about who they really are. In the end, Jenny makes friends with her new neighbor and finds out that they are normal peope, just like her own family. I will need 28-32 half-page illustrations and a cover page. I would first need at least two sample ilustrations of the illustrator's work that is specific to my story line in order for me to consider awarding a contract.
