ALPACA´S TEXTILES FROM PERU TO EUROPE
I need a market research to know how feasible it would be to sell Peruvian textiles in Europe.
These textiles are the result of a social project in Peru. This project was started by an NGO, Arco Iris; which works with children at risk in indigenous communities. The textile production began with the aim of helping the NGO be self-sufficient, and of making the manufacturers (vulnerable women) able to support their families.
The garments are produced in a small workshop and they have already been sold in many countries throughout the years (including Finland, Sweden and the US), though they were always sold in small numbers.
I worked with Arco Iris for 17 years and, now that I am living in Madrid, I hope to help them continue and expand their project. This would be achieved in two different steps:
• First, we need to know whether or not our products could be sold. If they could, we would also need to know where, at what price and in which numbers.
This is where YOU would come into play. I need someone to conduct a market research and report their findings to us.
• Secondly, if the market research proves that selling our products could be profitable, we would go on with the project. We would start the process to import our garments and sell them online. For this, we would need YOU to design a marketing plan to reach the customers.
I am also attaching some photos of our products so that you get an idea of what they are like. They are all made using three different materials in various percentages: baby alpaca, silk and polyamide.
