I'm in a consulting business, need to provide my clients a simple app for iOS and android, that can use phone location and show user how many days he was in each country through the current year.
The general requirements are as follows:
1. Suggest a detailed Technical Requirements document for my approval before implementing the solution
2. After TR approval, re-analyze the requirements, suggest UI and provide final time estimate
3. Implement the solution for android and iOS according to approved document and design
4. Test on both platforms, deliver final version and maintain the product including fixing bugs for at least 6 months
General application requirements:
1. Using geodata and/or cellular provider and/or IP, determine, as accurate as possible, the phone location – country (every X hours)
2. Show in main screen the number of days phone was in every country in the current calendar year
3. Add the possibility to show the number of days phone was in every country in previous years, if this data available
4. For each country add availability to calculate tax residency status according to various parameters user can configure in settings (like where is his main business, family, home etc.)
5. Store all data in a most secured way on phone and synchronize to one of the available cloud solutions (so if the phone lost and replaced the data is still available)
6. Use statistics in order to verify user indeed in the same place as phone, for example, if phone was in same place for more than Y days, but never unlocked, ask user for manual verification (user was on vacation abroad and left the phone at the office)
7. Provide manual correction by user for any part of the calculated data
8. Provide the ability to configure all parameters and user data (like thresholds, enable/disable tracking, additional parameters that will be taken into calculation)
9. Add capability to contact us via sending query to predefined email
10. Add capability to delete all or part of the data (for example remove data for specific country)
11. Publish the app in both stores - Google and Apple, including all required procedures (all payments to stores on employer)
