Create a DevExpress Reports Designer & Wizard Interface
I have an accounts application written using C#, DevExpress 2012 and MS SQL.
The reports wizard will allow end users to easily create their own reports at run time for the various sections of the accounts system (see below). There are two type of reports required. 1) For printing documents e.g. Customer details, Sales Invoice, Purchase Orders etc.. 2) For reporting e.g. Account balances of selected customers or customer account range, Stock Activity, Management Reports etc..
The wizard should be easy to use and guide the user to create sample reports which they can then edit and customise. The wizard will work on a predefined folder structure, saving different types of reports in appropriate folders.
I will provide a sample database with all the tables and relationships between the tables. The field names presented to the user will be the user friendly descriptions, defined in the field description and not the actual field names. The designer must include multiple user selectable parameter fields which will be used at report run time as report data selection criteria e.g. customer account range.
There is a short video of a reports wizard illustrating how I think this should work ( I will provide a link to suitable bidders). I am open to suggestions and any improvements you may have to offer.
There are distinct sections in the accounts program, requiring different type of reports (both stationary layouts and data reports) e.g.:
Sales (Customer Details, Sales Orders, Shipped Items, Sales Invoices / Credit Notes)
Purchase (Supplier Details, Purchase Enquiries, Purchase Orders, Deliveries, Purchase Invoices / Debit Notes);
Stock (Stock Items, Stock Movements / Activity);
Management Reports.
At the end of the project, you will help me to integrate it with my accounts program and provide all source code. All copyright for this will belong to me.
Do not bid if you do NOT have real good experience of DevExpress Reports. I will not respond to time wasting bidders.
