As we have to "abuse" the Windows / Office clipboard in our Office Add-In for some operations that are otherwise not possible in the Office object model, we need to be able to temporarily backup the clipboard contents (in memory) and restore them afterwards as if nothing had happened.
This is an easy task for plain text content, but there are may different (custom) clipboard formats which all need to be backed up. The most difficult part will probably be the cases where applications like Excel only advertise the available formats (html, wmf, emf, bitmap, etc.) and generate the actual clipboard content only when the user actually pastes this specific format.
