1. Site will be built upon the Drupal Content Management System (CMS), a PHP and MySQL based system.
2. Site will support automatic posting of new property listings from the MLS database feed. Separate hidden web page to test this functionality should be created.
3. Site will allow pictures and files to easily be uploaded to property listings.
4. Site will automatically generate XML sitemaps to ensure that all content is quickly indexed by search engines.
5. Site will allow for easy addition of flash video content to any page.
6. Existing Microsoft Virtual Earth maps will be extended to all parts of the site that need mapping.
3. Lead database and e-mail marketing.
1. Information collected from lead generation (or “contact us??) forms on the site will be stored for future use. Information will be easy to retrieve in a spreadsheet format for follow-up calls and other uses.
2. Opt-in e-mail marketing system will allow client to send newsletters to leads that are interested in properties in specific regions and general site news and updates. E-mails to leads on mailing lists will include an opt-out link so there will be no concerns about spam. Client will initiate sending of e-mail newsletters.
3. Two graphical email templates consistent with the site design: 1 for a newsletter and 1 for updates about content the lead is interested in (e.g. properties, interest rates on loans, new properties in a specific region, etc.).
4. Visitors that complete a contact form will receive an automated follow-up email to confirm that their request was received.
