I am looking to create a social networking/dating site. People need to be able to create an account and contact others that have accounts. (Edited)
The main pages need to be PG-13 and all profile photos are approved by me before posting.R-Rated photos are only allowed in the private photo album that only their 'connections' will be able to see.
There needs to be live chat rooms, blogs, and the ability for me to add articles whenever I choose. I currently have a rough a draft and have the screenshots of what I am thinking of doing.
You should be excellent at website and graphic design as well as java / php.
The accounts will be setup for single people or couples and need to have the information for both. People need to be able to not only search various 'events' but also the option to just search people that match their lifestyle and those people should appear along with the 'event' that they are on.
membership will start out as free with the ability to upgrade to a paid membership for featured listings. Free accounts will have a limit of 5 photos and paid will have 15. Payment through paypal or google checkout will be fine. Featured accounts will appear first and in bold.
Members will show up as 'unverified' and only a 'verified' member can say they are a real person or couple or they have the option of emailing a scanned photo ID to the admin who will approve them as 'verified'. They will enter their (edited for privacy) but it will not be verified nor will it be stored in the database. It will just be a deterrent to fake users.
People will be able to view profiles and send messages or just a 'kiss' to let them know if they are interested. People can save other profiles in their 'favorite' list to view them again later or keep track of all the users. Accounts will show up with the last time they logged in.
Since there are thousands of 'events' each year, they will not all show up on the 'event' page. The user must perform some sort of search to limit the results to under 100. They will have the option to join groups as well as create blogs. There will be ads on the main page as well as once logged in. I need to be able to edit these ads in the future so I can sell advertising space. Users can also make their accounts private if they choose so all their photos can't be searched.
I will be writing articles on the subject of the site and need the ability to add them when I choose and edit/delete them as well if needed.
The site should be SEO optimized with links in all the major directories. I already have the domain name and hosting through HostGator.
I want to avoid Template sites if possible.
I didn't know what price range to choose so I just picked small project. I'd like it to be less than the price range listed since I will provide the screenshots of how it should look as well as photos and database.
10% deposit will be the 1st milestone payment
35% deposit when site is half completed
35% when site is completed and ready to be turned over
20% after site is turned over and given full CPanel access.
