A buddy of mine came to me this morning for some personal help that I couldn't refuse. However with my busy schedule of handling projects, I cannot do it myself. As such, I am looking for bids to carry out the following: Scenario ======== To build a Linux community in the local area. There are quite a number of Linux gurus locally but the local linux user group is inactive probably due to lack of participation. As such, my buddy wants to create his own Linux community with the aim of being an online forum and main focal point for the development, establishment and promotion of Linux and its services in local area. A gathering of local Linux providers, users and wannabes. I think its a wonderful project and I would applaude any movement towards moving our reliance away from M$. In any case, this project is self-funded and its aim is to provide Linux in the local arena, as such fundings are very limited. Looking for a like-minded programmer whom is also passionate about Linux in general to help out for a good cause. Perhaps your name and portfolio could also be mentioned as one of the supporters of the site. In addition, if you prove your worth, I will personally recommend and invite you to future projects. In any case, here are the details of the project - install the latest version of phpbb on a empty website - recommend and select a suitable template from [url removed, login to view] - install the Online Status hack - install the Shoutbox hack - recommend and comment if the EZ Portal hack is applicable for this purpose - recommend the other hacks that would be applicable for such a site i.e attachements, quick reply etc. - if my buddy is reagreeable, deploy the hacks recommended - download the entire forum category listing from 3 websites [this will be provided to the winning bidder] :: domain name has already been registered [my personal contribution]
