I'm seeking a skilled developer to create a solution that dynamically displays products from our local database on our Wordpress website. This project aims to ensure our website always reflects the most current product information, enabling us to provide our customers with accurate and timely content.
**Primary Objectives:**
- Develop a seamless integration between our local database and our Wordpress site to display products.
- Implement a system that updates product information on the website every 10 minutes, reflecting the latest changes from our local database.
**Key Requirements:**
- Experience with Wordpress development, especially in creating custom plugins or themes that integrate with external databases.
- Proficiency in database management and SQL to efficiently connect and query our local database.
- Capability to work with large data sets, as our current inventory includes 150,000 products that need to be displayed and regularly updated.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization, particularly for dynamically generated content, to ensure a fast and responsive user experience despite the vast amount of product data.
- Knowledge of Cron Jobs or similar scheduling tools to automate the update process every 10 minutes.
**Ideal Skills:**
- PHP and Javascript expertise for Wordpress website customization.
- Experience in creating and managing APIs for data synchronization between databases and Wordpress sites.
- Familiarity with Wordpress caching mechanisms to optimize the performance of the site with frequent updates.
This project not only requires the technical ability to integrate and display a large amount of product data on a website but also a keen understanding of how to do so in a way that is scalable and efficient.
