We have an html site developed a few years ago to serve as a marketplace for buyers and sellers listing products. The site is outdated. A new design mock up was developed for the homepage and we now want this design theme installed for the entire site. Along with a refreshed/responsive design, we want to change many of the features and make them similar to standard features available in Magento/Opencart without actually installing that framework. Existing or modified scripts may be used but must include the requirements below. A detailed outline will be provided, but the summary of scope of work is below:
1. Install new design theme or create similar responsive design
2. Enhance product search functionality and make search results more appealing
3. Redesign product detail view
4. Condense registration page to one page (new design format provided)
5. Create membership levels and badges. Allow admin to bill user on subscription basis.
6. Enhance our member network section to allow our members to create groups, assign business friends to these groups, add internal notes for business friends, set profile permissions, and view transaction history.
7. Redesign member profile page to be publicly viewed by other logged in members in our site. Show any products that the seller has for sale. Similar to seller store.
8. Enhance our Items Wanted page to allow for seller’s on our site to respond to customer buying requests.
9. Allow buyers on the site to purchase items either by auction or from seller’s catalog.
10. Streamline the checkout process to allow for multiple items by sellers, seller’s payment instructions, seller shipping costs and taxes. Create unique order number for each seller to process separately. No integration with payment gateway is need as all payments will be handled offline.
11. Redesign My Account page using the site design theme to allow for members to see both buying and selling activity.
12. Create a Selling Manager section to manage all sales activity for the site, such as processing orders, invoicing, cancelling orders, shipping orders, entering tracking numbers, etc. Change the current selling process to one of catalog and auction format. Use similar features in opencart/magento to create and manage seller specific product catalog. Allow sellers to upload items using .csv files.
13. Allow sellers to respond to customer buying requests and manage these in. Selling Manager section.
14. Allow sellers to customize shipping options and rates
15. Enhance our product pedigree system to allow buyer to check the source of the product as entered or uploaded by the seller from My Account.
16. Reporting capabilities for both buyer and seller on sales, customers and product inventory.
17. Allow primary users to create sub-users to access site and permissions/roles.
18. Update message system similar to [login to view URL] and create separate alerts section
19. Install an open source faq system allowing users to search commonly asked questions.
20. Install new admin panel to include Dashboard, Admin user management, member management, subscription management, site analytics, message system to users, CMS and manage banner advertising.
Payment will be in equally divided milestones after work is performed and completed on our server.
