In our project of Technical and Trend Analysis of share prices in stock market, we have considered four factors- Open price, Lose price, High price, Low price. These four are very important factors in the field of stock market apart from the factors like stock price, exchange rate etc.
Investing in Stock Market is very risky because there are always ups and downs in the stock market. A stock price that changes quickly and by a lot is more "volatile”. This makes a stock riskier – you could lose a lot if you had to get your money out on short notice. Therefore, in order to avoid this risk, we can use the previous data and predict approx. result. The data which we chose here is from National Stock Exchange and the analysis is done on approximately 1-year data of 2016-2017.
For the prediction we have used moving cumulative average of the four above mentioned factors, so that we can relate it with the average for the stock output of the upcoming data. The prediction can be very handy for future investments and for deciding whether to keep or sell the stocks.
We perform the calculations and plot the graph of moving cumulative average vs the number of days.
Using the graph, we draw the regression line using the regression formula
Using the Regression line We make an attempt to predict the future prices , and NIFTY provides a generalized trend on how the shares are moving in the market .
If our prediction graph matches with the NIFTY graph, we can say that the trend is fairly trust able.
Based on this share movement and the historical data, an attempt would be made to infer to a pattern of the future price movement of the company share by adopting technical & trend analysis concepts. This would give a high-level prediction of the share price of the company in the near future.
