We need to update redirects from an Excel spreadsheet as follows
Please redirect URLs in Column A directly to the final location URL in Column D.
So where you see in Column B three or more redirects, e.g. 301> 301> 200 you'd update to 301 > 200 to the URL in Column D.
Beginning at line 428 you'll see that all the redirects need correct destinations added. Please redirect these to the appropriate live pages of the site.
Example (line 428):
410 Page:
[login to view URL]
Redirect to:
[login to view URL]
Another thing to do:
If I can get those urls that are 404, redirected to "best relevant" page,
and the multi-redirects fixed for just one 301...on the urls in that spreadsheet,
Then we've got the perfect urls for "what matters now".
Then I'm going to create a javascript/css dropdown in the footer, that includes all these "important" urls (from all the spreadsheets I've collected)....I think this will be the fastest way for google to see what are the important urls, and they will all have a sitewide link via this dropdown link in the footer... so to do this, I need those urls "fixed" asap, then I'll create the dropdown
I'm anxious to get these urls a sitewide link so google knows what the "correct urls" are for all these pages.
Spreadsheet will be sent to the ones that fit for the job
