I want a dll for recording sounds from a soundcard and saving it as MP3. The properties should be path of new file, bitrate, vbr as true or false, whether to just remove silence, fire the hasended event when detecting a silence, or don't remove silence. I'm working on a netmeeting like application in visual basic 6 using the AVphone 2 control. The problem is the control can select the mpeg(v3) codec but it doesn't set the codec's data rate (bitrate) although i set it in the compression dialog box (standard video for windows - window). I need a peace of visual basic code(or a small control in another language) that simply puts the mpeg v3 codec in the right state (certain datarate) , so afterwards the avphone control gets the right data right when it captures from the control.
