Credit File Clean Up Post Bankruptcy - PayPal Credit

I opened a PayPal Credit account December of 2015 - it defaulted and was included in a debt relief order on July 28th 2016 - as a part of UK regulation(s) in relation to bankruptcy it should have been marked settled by PayPal one year later on July 28th 2017 and the amount owed reduced to zero as has occurred with all of my other creditors included in the bankruptcy. PayPal has instead been reporting to my credit file each month since that date up to now, adding a late payment mark each time and still stating the same balance despite the account defaulting and being included in the debt relief order. I have complained to the UK branch of PayPal as well as the Financial Ombudsman - providing copies of the debt relief order showing that the debt was included and should have been settled on date noted above. Originally Santander and Newday underwrote the Paypal Credit accounts however, they ceased to do so from 31st March 2012 and so my account will not have been opened by them and so my complaints to these lenders cannot be upheld as they did not open the account. My credit file that states - “Paypal (Europe) Sarl Et Cie Sca” as the lender for the PayPal Credit product; though they may have used a UK financial services organisation as they did previously to provide the credit line for the account. I’m now at the point where the Ombudsman referred me to PayPal and then PayPal hid behind their (Europe) Sarl Et Cie Sca location to basically state that they were not bound by UK regulators as they were situated abroad. I don’t believe our UK laws regarding bankruptcy and the settling of debts which are then reported to our credit reference agencies can be superseded by an overseas agent. I have been directed by credit reference agencies to speak to the lender but you can see I am now going around in circles. I simply want our UK credit references agencies to report the correct satisfaction date of the Paypal Credit account ans the amount reduced to zero as per UK regulation and our legislation to be followed to ensure the Debt Relief Order requirements based in UK law are followed so that I can have this mess removed from my credit file and I can get on with rebuilding my financial standing. A threatening letter using the correct and current legislation to achieve the outcome may simply be all that is required - without knowing whom to send this to and with no legal background I am hence here looking for help. I can provide relevant personal and financial information and account details to the person who takes on the job if and when required. Regards
