On-going WSS / Sharepoint / JS / ASP.NET site customisation

(This is a re-post, the original candidate had to cancel due to time-zone differences) Hi, we have a live WSS3 (windows sharepoint services) project running on our server. We've installed one of the 'fabulous 40' templates (the 'IT Team Workspace') available from Microsoft and we're attempting to customize the solution using Sharepoint Designer. We've installed the 'IT Team Workspace' Application template to serve as a basis for customization. I really need some help and assistance to get onto the right track. I'm looking for an on-going consultant who can connect with me via Skype and 'walk me through' some of the things I'd like to do. I need someone who's skilled and experienced at customizing .WSP templates who can guide me as I do it myself. I think the best way to work would be for the consultant to set up the same application template on their own box, and then we work through the customizations together on a similar test configuration. Once I feel confident I can then go ahead and implement on our live site. We're working 'OOB' (ie relying only on sharepoint designer and manual editing of javascript / asp pages) to achieve our customisations. We're also working 'iteratively'; that is, defining small-scale customisations that we see a necessity for, and then implementing them one at a time. The consultant must have a) skills in javascript and ASP.NET b) experience in Sharepoint designer and customising Sharepoint sites c) good communication skills in English d) be able to work with Skype or similar with audio, chat, and share desktop to guide me through the customisations We would prefer to pay according to an hourly rate - this would primarily include 1 on 1 contact time with me. Please nominate your hourly rate in your bid. As an illustrative example, the first customisation is as follows : 1) When the user clicks on 'create a new task' from a projects page, the 'new task' page should have the current project automatically selected in the drop-down box or automatically set somehow. The projects pages has a 'related tasks' and similar parent-child linked lists displayed with dataformwebparts, with a "Create new task" link below the data: <a href="../ProjectIssues/[login to view URL]" onclick="javascript:[login to view URL] = unescapeProperly(escape([login to view URL])); GoToLink(this); return false;" target="_self">Create a new Issue...</a>. We need this href to include the ID of the parent project. It is included in the query string parameters of the current page: http://archserv:16451/sites/ArdenIS/Laboratory1/Lists/Projects/[login to view URL] So, we need to get the query string parameter, pass it to the HREF, then create or amend the 'create new task' page so that the projectid is automatically set. A bidder who can comment intelligently on the correct method to achieve this will clearly be at an advantage. We anticipate many such customisations on our 'wish list', and there is lots of scope for future work. We hope to build a friendly and collaborative relationship with a consultant. thanks guys, Matt
