1. Introduction: The Carditone proposed app a. Carditone proposes an app for use mainly, but not exclusively, as a client consultation tool in a hair salon. The app will have various features as discussed herein, including the ability to capture an image of a client’s face, map the image along the client’s hairline and apply different hairstyles, properly sized, to fit to the mapped image of the client’s face. The mapping could be done with the client’s hair tied back to expose the client’s hairline. b. The client’s face and the different hairstyles must be displayed on the device that takes the image, such as a smart phone on which the app operates, but most importantly, on a touch screen smart mirror in the salon. c. The app will be developed and launched in phases. The initial phases will require a 2D image of hairstyles applied to a client’s face. In later versions, 3D images will be used. In other words, a client’s head will be mapped in 3D (including the client’s hairline and hairstyles will then be applied to the 3D image). d. The phases are discussed below. Graphic representations of screens will be provided as well as flow diagrams. e. Please note that Carditone filed a patent application in respect of the app including the features discussed herein as well as other features not discussed herein. This document is to be treated as confidential and contains Carditone’s confidential information. 2. Purpose of this functional specification The purpose of this specification is to provide a broad outline of the the complete end product to enable a prospective developer to develop only the proof of concept, for the time being. Phase 1: Proof on concept I the defining phase. If phase 1 cannot be carried out properly the project will be abandoned. The prospective developer will be required to assign all intellectual property including but not limited to, all rights of copyright to Carditone. 3. The development of the app will be done in phases as follows, starting what is believed to be the second most difficult phase. The most difficult phase is believed to be the 3D functionality discussed below at the end of this document. a. Phase 1: Proof of concept: face imaging and hairstyling and colour options feature i. A client’s hair will be tied back to expose the client’s face and hairline. ii. A 2D image will be taken by a camera in/connected to the smart mirror or by a camera on a smart phone on which the app operates.
