Hello,
I am attaching 2 things via the Project Board. First, a screenshot that shows I have Excel 2010 and Windows 7. Also, know that the Web-scraper I have is for IE as well.
Second, the workbook that I use to track my investments. I am an economics grad student and am taking a break from studying for a big test on Tuesday, so I didn't want to take the time to strip it out-- you obviously are more of a day trader and I have no worry about you seeing the information there. But I do think that the most attractive part about my bid is that I understand what you want from personal experience.
I am certainly not as experienced in programming as others who will bid. My bid of $120 is based on an estimate of 6 hours at $20 per hour. I have the web-scraping bit, and a document that updates formulas automatically, which proves I'm capable of doing the job. The part that will take me awhile will be the "errors" sheet. The second part will be taking what I have, and making it in the form you want so that it all runs at one time. Currently mine is in pieces as that suits me just fine since I only use it periodically.
Brief explanation of the StockTracker:
'Updater'- test web-scraping for any historical date of your choice.
'Today's Prices'- Automatically get S&P 500 most recent close
'ROTH Summary'- If you check this page before and after you run the Today's price update, you'll see that the Change v S&P 500 changes, showing that info pulled from the web is fed into Excel formulas.
Let me know if you have any questions about the bid. I would enjoy this project, be able to learn, and think I can do a good job for you.
