Hi , there I have read your project details . You requires a code to calculate the speed and movement space by using Arduino and 3-axis gyroscope sensor. It's better to use MPU6050 because it have built-in 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope sensor, it is not pure gyroscope and it measure the angular rotation accelerations and relative values for motion measurements. You can get best results if you add in measurement systems a 3-axis magnetometer. MPU6050 has special I2C-master port for external magnetometer connections.
