In my experience in the aerospace and IoT industry, I worked in electronic/circuit design, PCB layout, embedded programming and digital design. In the IoT industry, I worked on the hardware design of a TAG (product wearable) of a LoRaWAN network. I designed the entire electronic. The TAGs built-in a GPS (Ublox), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), LoRaWAN transceiver module, low power microprocessor, FRAM memory, and different sensors such as accelerometer. Also, I designed the power stage, which measures and efficiently managed the consumption, taking care and extending the useful life of the TAG's battery. The design aimed to the minimum physical size of the PCB and minimum lower power consumption possible. In addition to working on the design, I leaded the electronic development team, coordinated and monitored the production and the validation of the TAGs. I love working on complex designs, it motivates me and excites me. Hi, The most crucial part of WiFi and another RF based PCB is their on board antenna design, before it go to external antenna. I have designed such similar PCB for GPS, GSM, BLE, and NFC on board antenna before. I know it's several issue and resources about it. Second consideration is Power Management IC, We have to use propper IC, usually DC-DC Buck Converter, because Most of RF based system consume Lot of power during start up, We have to discuss the detail about this, because to select propper IC I have to know what kind of board you want to build. I will use Eagle to design this board. I have became PCB designer since 2012 and has designed lot of PCB for various application like Hobby, Industrial, IoT, Robotic, and Military. My background is Electronic Engineering and Now I work on Defense Electronic Industry. So, I know how to analyze circuit, And Mostly, I always following Design guide when it comes to critical PCB like WiFi.
