I have 6 years CAD experience within the construction industry. I specialise in highways team and have worked on major highway schemes in England. For the past 4 years I have been using civil 3D to carry out vertical design of highways in accordance with the UK relevant design standards (DMRB). I have experience in a projects that have used a wide range of surface water drainage solutions which I can provide details on if requested. I am familiar with attenuation tanks, ponds, swales, combined kerb drainage systems, aco channels, soakaways, manholes, sumps, pumps, orifice plates and more. I am able to create existing ground models, produce horizontal and vertical highway designs, create longitudinal and cross sections and show where utilities and drainage are present to allow for clash detection. I then present the design in the form of isopachytes, contours, long sections and cross sections on separate drawings.
