Pls. provide the swf file (also other files as xml and others if any in package with the main swf) so we can try to reverse it first. Once we have it reversed to FLA, it's easy for changes/amendments.

Usually when decompiling an SWF the actionscript gets re-written and the graphics are flattened into a bitmap/vector format. Some animations and effects are lost when re-publishing the decompiled file, but this depends on how complex your swf file is. I am online all day and available to help out immediately. If needs be will recreate the code for the file to work...
