Identification of critical links in a road network to increase the overall efficiency using OPNET.

The following are the details: 2. total number of words: Not expecting any report. Just development of software is expected. 3. Date of submission: AUg 4-5 Guidelines: The project is required to run analysis of a network , and to identify a certain set of link(road) combinations, whose capacity when increased can lead to improved efficiency in the overall road network. Reruirements: -No report needed -A software in OPNET or MATLAB, which tests scenarios of increasing capacity of selected links in the network, and outputs which is the best combination (reduced travel time in the network) Consider the following example, which I have used for optimisation on a smaller scale, to make more understanding: Consider a road network having one O-D pair and 5 links (named link1, link2....link5) similar to the Braess Paradox. Now, I have identified set of combinations of links, say for example link 1 and 3, whose capacity when increased, gives the maximum efficiency to the network ( by efficiency I mean reduced travel times). SO, the concept is to test different scenarios ( combinations like 1-2,1-3,1-4,2-3 ..etc) where the network travel times are compared for improvements in all possible combinations of links.
