The Wiki on my site is implemented using CommunityServer 2008.5 ([login to view URL]), with the data stored in an SQL Server database. I have both the complied version and SDK (source files) available. The Wiki keeps a history of page revisions, but does not include a 'Revert' function. This project is to modify the existing code to include this function.
Example of history pages can be viewed at:
* [login to view URL]
<!-- -->
* [login to view URL]
What is required is to have a 'Revert' button next to each revision (excluding the current version), which when clicked will do the following:
* present a pop dialogue asking for confirmation to continue with the action
<!-- -->
* make that revision the current revision
<!-- -->
* delete all subsequent revisions from the database
For example, if a page has 5 revisions (with Rev 5 being the current) and the 'Revert' button next to revision 3 is click; revision 3 will become the current version and revisions 4 and 5 will be deleted from the database. Revisions 1 and 2 will remain in the database as history.
The 'Revert' button should only be visible to logged in members who are also members of the 'WikiModerator' and/or 'SystemAdministrator' roles.
It will be necessary to execute an SQL query to modify the database to achieve the above. This should be implemented as a procedure within the database (not hardcoded within the module code).
Deliverables will be the updated source code, complied binaries (64 bit) and scripts to create any necessary SQL procedures in the database.
Note: in bidding the developer may also suggestion alternatives for achieving the required functionality and/or improvements to the functionality described above. This will be taken into consideration in awarding the work.
