**********************************************************
If you have never written a WINDOWS 2000/XP Service, DON'T BID ON THIS PROJECT!!!!!!
Provide references of WINDOWS 2000/XP service(s) that you have written or a demonstration that you understand Windows 2000/XP services in your bid. Failure to include references or a demo will disqualify your bid from further consideration.
Saying you can do this project is not sufficient for your bid to be seriously considered. You need to show that you can!
**********************************************************
I would like to have written a WINDOWS 2000/XP SERVICE in C, C++, C#, or Delphi that will display a banner window at the top of the screen when any user logs in.
It must:
1. stay on top, it reduces the amount of available working area on the desktop like the Windows Taskbar does (uses SystemParametersInfo(SPI_SETWORKAREA,&rectDesktop,NULL,SPIF_SENDCHANGE) ).
2. not be closed, terminated, or hidden by normal users.
3. close the window normally at logoff and shutdown.
4. have the ability to be started and stopped with the MMC Services plugin.
5. have the height of a window title bar and the width of the screen.
6. not have a system menu or minimize, maximize, or close buttons.
7. have text and background colors that will be read from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software key values specifically for this application
8. install using Microsoft Installer (.msi) that requires no command line parameters.
9. have three sections:
* left section: computer name and username (left justified), e.g. "Computer1 / User1"
* center section: administrator set text read from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software key value specifically for this application (centered)
* right section: uptime updated in real time (right justified).
