I have created a database that needs to be modified. My combo boxes are not working when a user is an admin (write access). I am unable to drop down and choose an record in the combo box. I would like that to be fixed.
I already have access security in place where I have a table of users and when a new user logs in, it adds them as read only to all of my forms. That same exact table can be changed under the profile field, using ADMIN or READ ONLY records.
I am using code rather than using the Access Security wizard. I don't like Access Security at all. I would like the database window to be secured using only code, if possible, so only admin users (in the UserProfiles table) can edit my forms, tables and etc.. rather than everyone. I want the database window to be disabled for everyone, except admin users specified in the UserProfiles table. I want the special key that automatically goes to the database window when Access starts up to be disabled for Read Only users.
For my current queries on my form, I like the behavior that I have already implemented, but I would like the data to automatically add into an Excel document, only if the user says yes (Windows popup message). >>(For Example)
I have about 5 queries, I want whatever it queries to export the data automatically into an excel document, if the end-user choose to do so. For example, one query is for server name, it will retrieve information by server name and the fields (IP, rack number, description) on the form.
One of my queries don't work consistently, qryServerByNoteDate. I need that fixed.
Also I would like the forms to be more dynamic, clean and neat. If there are anything else you suggest in my database I am open ears. I will add more money if need be.
